A handmade mokume gane ring. The pattern is made by fusing two metals, in this case aluminum and high density carbon, under high pressure and heat and twisting the piece until it creates a pattern similar to wood grain. This ring's design borrows heavily from modern architecture forms, and is inspired by the simplicity and beauty therein. Each ring is made to order, and depending on stock availability, can take several days to make. Because of the density of the metals, the rings are very light. They are strong enough to be dropped from most any height without deforming, but with enough force, they will shatter.
